70 days. A sweet imperator shape carrot with a purple exterior and orange inside! Purple Haze shows its best colour when raw. Colour fades to orange when cooked. Slice some for a splash of colour for veggie trays or give kids a fun change from the ordinary carrot sticks. The purple colour is influenced by soil temperature and drainage. The strongest purple colour will occur when plants are grown at 15-20 degrees C. They can also be grown easily in containers. The purple roots reach about 12" long and about 2" shoulder to shoulder.
